About our intern program:
Our competitive intern program offers interns exposure to the business world and a meaningful work experience. Baird's summer intern program activities include an Intern Welcome Event, professional development, networking with leaders and associates, and many other informal events. Our interns have the opportunity to use a Baird Cares Day, a paid day to volunteer in the community. They are also eligible to apply for scholarships. Our informal mentor program gives interns an opportunity to network throughout Baird and learn about all the areas of the firm.
Baird's Corporate Real Estate and Workplace Solutions Department represents one of largest investments for the firm behind talent. We support all physical aspects of the workspace across all business units, several asset types, several countries, time zones, languages, currencies, and thousands of people. Their mission is to provide a workplace experience to help create an engaging environment for all.
Internship Location, Availability and Hours:
Located in our Milwaukee or Louisville office, the intern must be able to work full time during the summer, 37.5 - 40 hours per week. We are seeking a student who can start in May 2022.
As a Corporate Real Estate and Workplace Solutions Intern, you will:
* Assist with facility discovery of existing equipment, process, and data; work closing with branch administrators to gather information and enter into system
* Review and help determine new building/ build out standards
* Assist with implementation of new software technology
What we look for:
* Current student pursuing a bachelor's degree, preferably in Construction Management or Real Estate, with a graduation date of December 2022 or later
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to work collaboratively with teammates
* Strong attention to detail
* Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with AutoCAD desired
