Baird's Corporate Real Estate and Workplace Solutions Department represents one of largest investments for the firm behind talent. We support all physical aspects of the workspace across all business units, several asset types, several countries, time zones, languages, currencies, and thousands of people. Internship Location, Availability and Hours: Located in our Milwaukee or Louisville office, the intern must be able to work full time during the summer, 37.5 - 40 hours per week. We are seeking a student who can start in May 2022. As a Corporate Real Estate and Workplace Solutions Intern, you will: * Assist with facility discovery of existing equipment, process, and data; work closing with branch administrators to gather information and enter into system * Review and help determine new building/ build out standards * Assist with implementation of new software technology What we look for: * Current student pursuing a bachelor's degree, preferably in Construction Management or Real Estate, with a graduation date of December 2022 or later * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Ability to work collaboratively with teammates * Strong attention to detail * Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with AutoCAD desired What makes this opportunity great: * Work directly with facility management and sharpen problem-solving skills * Interact with outside vendors while developing building standards and selecting furniture * Receive exposure to project processes from start to finish * Gain hands-on, real-world experience in the fast-paced corporate real estate industry * Work within a unique culture that values diverse backgrounds and perspectives while emphasizing teamwork and a strong sense of partnership * Apply knowledge gained in the classroom while developing relevant professional experience Commitment to Inclusion & Diversity Baird is committed to inclusion & diversity for our clients, our associates and the communities where we live and work.
