The Global Procurement organization negotiates raw material and service based contracts, ensures security of supply, manages relationships with external suppliers, and provides market analysis to the Corporation's Executive Team to aid in strategic business decisions.

The Management Associate - Metallics Procurement position is an entry-level role designed to help college graduates to prepare for future advancements and supervisory responsibilities within both the Plant and Headquarters environments. We look for individuals with Procurement or Supply Chain related undergraduate degrees to work in this area. The career path from this program can provide placement within a variety of our procurement and raw material functions.
This challenging opportunity encompasses a wide range of responsibilities, including:

  • Support monthly negotiations for various metallics/scrap products at multiple locations
  • Monitor the end to end supply chain and develop mitigation plans as needed
  • Communicate with internal stakeholders to identify cost savings initiatives
  • Develop and maintain monthly KPIs and then present to procurement leadership
  • Attend industry events and visit supplier sites across the United States
Requirements:
  • Located in Pittsburgh (hybrid virtual / in-person), or located near our major manufacturing facilities in Alabama or Northwestern Indiana
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or Procurement preferred. Other majors considered will be Business, Economics, or Engineering
  • Must have at least a 3.50 GPA
  • Must have less than three years of professional work experience
  • Travel will be required up to 20% of the time
