Senior Project Manager

General Information:

Hitachi Energy is seeking for a Senior Project Manager for it's Mount Pleasant, PA.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Review of contract, PO and quote.
  • Develop project schedule and freeze period with respective stakeholders (internal and external)
  • Manage orders as single point of contact for customers
  • Prepare project specific risk, and opportunities management
  • Prepare project deliverable master document list
  • Coordinate Engineering drawing submittals and customer approvals
  • Coordinate with Engineering and SCM to ensure orders are placed on time for sub-supplier for material procurement.
  • Review with SCM periodically on production plan of feeder factories and ensuring no slippages on production progress.
  • Coordinate Stage inspections (if any)
  • Follow-up on material shipment, material receipt at site and acknowledgment from sites for submission of any milestone billings.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders for Installation, testing and commissioning at site.
  • Coordinate and document change requests related to Scope of Work and get approvals for time extension, additional cost etc.
  • Project handing over, as-built drawings, commercial closure etc. and collection of PAC, close out of any open items & FAC.
  • Serve as main contact for customers in project, lead customer meetings and have technical understanding to address customer queries.
  • Ensure customer payments are timely and manage risk of overdue payments.
  • Project margin review and analysis.
  • Facilitate and schedule Factory Acceptance Tests when required.

Your Background:

  • Bachelor's degree with 5+ years' relevant experience.
  • Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
  • Strong HV and Dead Tank Circuit Breakers technical knowledge, desirable.
  • Experience in project execution or High Voltage Substation projects.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to influence leaders and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work under pressure to deliver the projects with time, cost and quality.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in M.S. Office and SAP, preferred.
  • PMP certification, preferred.
