Below, you'll find other important information about this position.West Virginia University School of Medicine and the Department of Anesthesiologist seek an Anesthesiologist for the Pain Medicine service (ranks available: Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor). The successful candidate will be expected to practice at Uniontown Hospital in Uniontown, PA.
Duties: The successful candidate will practice in the areas of Pain Medicine. In addition to providing excellent patient care, the successful candidate will also be actively involved in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.
Qualifications: Candidate must have an MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and be eligible for state medical license. Successful candidate must have completed an anesthesiology residency program, as well as an acute pain fellowship program. Successful candidates must be board certified / eligible in Anesthesiology. All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.
WVU Anesthesiology has the largest anesthesia practice in the state, and is the only anesthesiology residency-training program. The department has more than 150 credentialed clinicians. Major divisions include cardiovascular, pediatric, neuro, ambulatory anesthesia and pain medicine. The department and institution are growing, and plan to add clinicians during the next year.
Uniontown Hospital is a compassionate, dedicated 145-private bed community hospital providing a full range of medical care to residents of Fayette County and the surrounding areas for more than a century. It takes a team effort to provide for the health of our region through our acute and specialty care.
