Your Role
Our team is seeking an Architect that will collaborate with a studio of colleagues to develop innovative and beautiful design solutions to meet our clients' needs. This role will coordinate design through the construction administration phase. You will be successful because you already know how to translate sketches and documents into realized 3D models and working drawings andcan research technical issues when they arise.Your work ethic,combined with your commitment to collaboration and mentoring, makesGensler the perfect place to nurture your career.
What You Will Do
- Manage client, team and project coordination, including full documentation coordination with structural, MEP, lighting, AV, landscape and civil consultants
- Support communication between project team, clients, vendors, contractors, consultants, and building and all authorities having jurisdiction
- Provide technical guidance and innovative solutions to resolve complex technical and design challenges
- Maintain project manual and specifications
- Conduct and document site visits, process submittals, substitution requests, and RFI's during construction
Your Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture and experience in a commercial design firm
- 10+ years of project experience in an architectural or engineering practice delivering large projects, with 5+ years of experience on Aviation specific projects.
- Experience designing and delivering aviation / airport projects is preferred (interior architecture, base building, ground up, renovations, and additions)
- Licensed / Registered Architect
- Experience with Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam Revu, SketchUp, 3dMax, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator), and MS Office
- LEED accreditation preferred
