We are seeking a highly motivated Construction Engineer to join our team in Beaver Falls, PA. You will work closely with a team of experts working alongside our customers on some of North America's most significant projects. And we are thrilled to have contributed to projects like the Bayonne Bridge and the Wekiva Section 6 project in Florida.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Provide technical support on concrete segmental bridge segment fabrication on behalf of the project owner including segment casting, geometry control and post-tensioning.
  • Ensure that work is completed in accordance with plans and specifications
  • Prepare daily written reports of construction activities with narratives that relate work completed to the contract documents
  • Verify quantities of unit price work
  • Review contractor payment requests and provide comments to the Resident Engineer
  • Identify potential extra work issues and advise the Resident Engineer of potential issues
  • Tasks include preparing extra work estimates with associated documentation, maintaining photographic records of site activities, and fulfilling other required tasks

On top of that, you will have:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering. A master's degree is preferred.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience inspecting construction work on complex projects of at least $10M.
  • Experience working on transportation construction projects, specifically cast-in-place or precast segmental bridges.
  • Certified in ASBI Grouting, PTI Level 1/2 Multistrand and Grouted PT Specialist, and ACI Concrete Field-Testing Technician Grade 1
  • Completed OSHA 30-hour construction safety, fall protection, confined space and permit required confined space entry is an asset.
  • Ability to work collaboratively on a distributed team of engineers, contractors, and field personnel.
  • Comprehensive verbal and written communication and organizational skills along with ability to stay late or come in early and/or work night and weekend shifts as needed.
