MISSION :

The Production Supervisor will be responsible for managing their production associates and their assigned area to promote continual improvement, compliance with All-Clad policies, exceeding goals and expectations for production and quality, and the creation of a safe environment for everyone. Areas of responsibility include safety, profitability, discipline, accurate recording of production data, inventory management, efficient use of labor and equipment, and promoting a positive Lead-by-Example image to their fellow associates. Interaction with other manufacturing areas will include Production Planning, Purchasing, Safety, Human Resources, Engineering, Research and Development (R&D), Quality, Maintenance, and outside visitors and suppliers.

PROFILE:

Specific duties of the Supervisor include (but not limited to) the following:

  • Working knowledge in one or more of the following areas to include: Metal Bonding, Tooling, Presses, CNC/ Robotics, Assembly, Metal Fabrication, Metal Finishing, Inventory Management, and Receiving.
  • Participate in activities associated to 5S, Lean Manufacturing, KanBan Inventory Management, MRO supply system, and other progressive manufacturing concepts and programs.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of production employees.
  • Enforce housekeeping and safety within the department.
  • Read and analyze charts, work orders, production schedules, and other records and reports.
  • Communicate with other supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments.
  • Plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals.
  • Inspect materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions.
  • Demonstrate equipment operations and work and safety procedures to new employees, document training, and qualify for understanding.
  • Observe work, and other indicators to ensure that operators conform to production or processing standards.
  • Ensure that reporting is done properly by all hourly operators.
  • Confer with management or subordinates to resolve worker problems or complaints.
  • Exposure and understanding of union hourly labor relations and OSHA Safety System.
  • Participate in Daily Production meetings.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Knowledge and Experience in Hot & Cold Rolling applications. Experience in processes related to bonding aluminum, copper, and stainless steel and the metallurgical field is a plus.
  • Minimum High school diploma with good numerical and language skills.
  • Preferably 5 years of direct supervision of shop floor employees.
  • Basic Computer Skills: Windows Operating System, Microsoft Office, Outlook.
  • Ability to use a computer to retrieve information, input data, send communications to associates.
