If this sounds like an environment you would thrive in, we have an exciting AWSE UNION opportunity for anAssistant Engineer - Nuclear Analysisfor Plant Engineering located at Westinghouse Global Headquarters in Cranberry Woods, PA in the Greater Pittsburgh Area.

Your Day-to-Day:

  1. This position supports engineering work which requires a high degree of manipulative or other specific skills acquired.
  2. Assist in the analysis, summarization, and preparation of datainto written and/or graphic form requiring calculationsinvolving the use of basic algebraic formulae and trigonometric functions.
  3. Review computer program input utilizing computer input sheets or specific check programs.
  4. Assist in the preparation of computer input alterations and modifications based on information derived from initial raw data analysis.
  5. Assist in the modification of existing non-complex computer programs.
  6. Catalog and maintain computer input and output files, calculation notes and associated records.
  7. Run data analysis utilizing existing computer systems.
  8. The Assistant Engineering Technician may also be asked to support various engineering activities in their assigned functional group which are not limited to the above list. This will allow them to learn new skills and grow in their knowledge of engineering processes.

Who You Are:
As a successful candidate, you will bring the following to the team:

  • Required experience as aNuclear Analysis Technician - C
  • Associates Degree (engineering preferred)or60 college credits in Engineering cirriculum
  • Must have 2 courses in Math and 2 courses in Physics
  • Recognized technical programs will be permitted to substitute for the required formal education, such asNaval Nuclear or other military programs.
