Description

The Department of Physics at Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) invites applications for a postdoctoral research associate position with expertise in lattice QCD. The successful applicant will contribute to an NSF-funded project helping the CosMoN/BaSc collaboration with its current projects and especially helping adapt parts of its current software stack to GPU acceleration, so a candidate with expertise in GPU coding is preferred. The initial appointment will be for one year starting on September 1, 2024, but could be extended for a second year.

Qualifications

Applicants must have a Ph.D. in theoretical nuclear or particle physics, or a related field, at the time the appointment begins.
