As a lifeguard, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of visitors at our state park. You will be responsible for monitoring the designated swimming areas, enforcing park rules and regulations, and responding to any emergencies or incidents that may occur. Working as a Lifeguard at Bendigo State Park involves patrolling, observing, and monitoring visitor activity at swimming areas. You will need to recognize when swimmers are in distress and be able to rescue them using accepted lifesaving techniques. Additionally, you will be expected to utilize first aid, artificial respiration, and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). Inspection of buoys, ropes, first aid equipment and supplies, and other safety equipment will also be one of your duties.
