PPG Freshman/Rising Sophomore Primers Program (2027 college graduates) is a highly selective program with the primary goal of introducing freshman/rising sophomore students to PPG's Internship program, culture, development opportunities, and leaders. This weeklong program held in mid-July 2024 is designed for students who are interested in internship and careers at PPG and want to learn what it means to help protect and beautify the world.

Our 2024 Primers Week will be held virtually. This program is perfect for students who are interested at interning at PPG during summer 2025 and 2026!

During Primers Week, you will have the chance to:

• Learn about the PPG Way and PPG Way to Lead
• Complete Personal and Professional Development Assessments
• Network with other Primers (both current interns and prospective interns)
• Hear from senior leads across the organization
• Speak with current and former interns/campus program participants to learn about their personal experiences
• Complete a business case study or design workshop with other participants
• Learn about our Internship opportunities, projects, and locations
• Navigate the recruiting and application process for our 2025 Internship Program

Selection Criteria for PPG Primers

Primers Week is open to all freshman/rising sophomore (2027 graduates) who are pursuing a bachelor's degree at an accredited college/university. Students must be completing their freshman year of school the summer of 2024 with a focus in one (or more) of the below areas:

• Analytics, Business Administration, Finance, HR, Supply Chain
• Engineering (Aerospace, Chemical, Electrical, Energy, Mechanical, Materials Science, and more)
• Chemistry, Research and Development
• IT
• Digital
• EHS

Candidates will be evaluated and selected based on:

• Recent High School Graduate in their 1st year of University
• Academic Performance (3.2 GPA or higher)
• Demonstrated Leadership Potential
• Communication Skills
• Relocation Availability
• Interest in a career at PPG
