Job Description

TheOLED Shift Supervisorwill operate the OLED Department in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner! You will assure equipment is kept in good repair, schedules maintenance and ensure equipment is prepped for safe repair or inspections. You will work in an office environment and on the floor in a chemical manufacturing facility with frequent plant exposure.You will be part of a rotating shift, which includes days, nights, and weekends.You will work in a environment created by frequent new product introductions, so change is essential!

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain production records, meeting a production schedule and coordinating daily goals between operations, maintenance and engineering groups.
  • Accountable for the safety of the assigned associates, meeting the schedule, product quality, and efficiency.
  • Work with engineering to implement process changes which improve safety and quality, and reduce product variation.
  • Provide safety leadership in the department by resolving equipment high risks, monitoring and resolving safety improvement recommendations and making ergonomic improvements.
  • Implement process changes to improve safety and quality.
  • Lead the daily issues of training, maintenance permits, safety intervention, environmental compliance, and 5S.
  • Supervise, train and counsel operators.
  • Provide equipment-troubleshooting assistance to help solve daily issues.
  • Resolve repeat problems,, maintain initiatives, utilize statistical process and quality control, improve procedures, and train operational associates in an overall effort to improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE), improve product quality (first run capability (FRC), yield) and improve product cost.
  • Assume a leadership role in the maintenance activity by providing direction and equipment preparation support, including LOTO.
  • Support the ISO program and implement actions to eliminate the causes of product quality defects.

Qualifications

  • A 2-year college degree
  • 2 years prior supervisor experience required
  • Experience in chemical manufacturing environment a plus
  • Ability develop our operations personnel.
