External Description

Under the Direction of an RN, assists in implementing and coordinating Heatlh Issues and needs of individuals with I/DD and over site of duties specific to nursing at homes with increased medical needs. The Nursing supervisor is responsible for review of nursing documentation and assessment completion for accuracy and quality , review and assistance (when needed) of doctor appointments and diagnostic testing, data entry and review of medical information as assigned, over site of all aspects of Medication Administration at the sites using nursing services, assist in applicable state regulations licensing activities, staff nurse scheduling, clinical and skill development and training for all nurses, on call duties, and attend meetings as assigned.

Work a flexible schedule to assure support and compliance as needed to include covering for open nursing shifts when applicable.Demonstrate initiative and personal responsibility for assignments; comply to state federal and agency expectations and regulations. To include EMAR and AVATAR Development /implementation

* Maintain current PA LPN licensure as required by state.

* Complete all training requirements, geared to system compliance and professional growth, on an ongoing basis.

* Present in a professional, courteous manner at all times when representing MERAKEY.

* Account for the safety of staff and consumers as assigned, assure a safe and hazard free environment at all times.

* Contact/liaison for individual medical concerns with outside provides as need arises.

* Routinely audit records to assure all requirements are met.

* Back up on call to respond to critical issues as assigned, often as part of an established rotation.

* Review routine documentation to assure doctor's orders are being implemented.

* Effectively communicate (written, verbal, other) with Medical Coordinator, Director, Program Specialist, Team Supervisors and other program stakeholders.

* Complete Certified Investigations as required, (after training is completed)

* Routinely participant as trainer, as assigned.

* Maintain files and databases as assigned

* Coordinate and documents necessary follow up to incidents as required.

* Review of time cards for accuracy, when appropriate.

* Participate in disciplinary procedures as assigned.

* Participate in staff evaluation as assigned.

* Assures program and site compliance to MERAKEY standards and all regulations.

* Participate in meetings and agency workgroups as assigned

* Completes other duties as assigned.

* Assist in HRST process where applicable and completion of Clinical Reviews

* Work in Ratio covering nursing shifts as assigned

Earn $26.00-30.00/hour.
