UTILITY OPERATOR

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THE UTILITY OPERATOR

  • Follows standard operating procedures.
  • Personally observe safety rules and regulations and motivates others to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Supports department production through flexibility assignments as needed.
  • Performs the duties of the position(s) to which employee is assigned.
  • Cleans and operates machinery as required. Maintains orderly work areas.
  • Operates and lubricates moving parts on mobile equipment, refuel mobile equipment
  • Demonstrates, through actions, a commitment to the philosophy of continuous improvement, problem solving and teamwork in all aspects of performance.
  • Supports and assists all levels of management within the organization in achieving goals and objectives.
  • Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned.

REQUIRED FOR THE UTILITY OPERATOR

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience in an industrial operations/manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Requires the ability to pass a background check and physical including drug and alcohol screen.
  • Proficient computer skills with knowledge of MS Office
  • Requires excellent written and verbal communication skills, excellent problem solving and interpersonal skills and attention to detail/accuracy.
  • Able to work rotating shifts and overtime when needed or required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, well organized and the ability to prioritize tasks and make appropriate decisions.
  • Willing to work in a fast paced, ever-changing work environment.
