The Opportunity

Our Project Execution Department is looking to add #EnergyProblemSolvers in various US locations to support specific project needs.

We are seeking Project Manager's (PM) accountable for the safety, compliance, quality, cost, and schedule for all assigned projects within the Execution Growth program. The PM will lead a team of internal and external resources to ensure the following project milestones are completed:

  • Engineering

  • Materials Procurement

  • Regulatory, Environmental, and Land approvals

  • Construction/Contracts

  • Commissioning

  • Asset Integration

  • Closeout

What you'll do

Lead project team to complete the following deliverables:

Scope verification, Cost verification, Execution schedule, Cash flow (forecast)

  • Expected to develop detailed project scopes of work and estimates; interface with various external/internal stakeholders, manage change; understand engineering design, procurement, constructability reviews/RFP prioritize, plan, and track field execution of the work; monitor and control project costs/budgets

  • Manage internal project financials, providing detailed, accurate project cost forecasts and accruals (if applicable)

  • Serve as the primary point of contact with clients regarding efforts such as coordination of meetings with stakeholders, strategic planning, scope management, managing budget, and environmental compliance

  • Work directly with Project Controls to complete accurate monthly cost forecasting, schedule updates, and manage the trend log and watchlist, etc.

  • Leads regular coordination meetings with resources from various stakeholder groups to discuss status, progress, risks/concerns, future anticipated activities

  • Establishes project priorities and resolves conflicts when they arise. Holds teams accountable for deliverables and milestones

  • Actively participate in third party engineering (led by Project Engineering) to ensure design meets project requirements

  • Review and approve POs for material and equipment purchase

  • Work with Project Engineering and Supply Chain to evaluate long lead equipment bids to ensure cost and lead time align with project requirements

  • Stay informed on material/equipment delivery dates and works with Supply Chain to expedite, where needed

  • Prepare and lead the FERC 7c application filing process to obtain regulatory, environmental, and land approvals prior to construction. Monitor progress to ensure application is executed within required timeframe

  • Work with Supply Chain, Project Engineering, Construction Management, and other project teams to prepare construction bid package

  • Work with Supply Chain to manage the construction bid, bid evaluation, and contract award. Lead and oversee the downstream Request For Proposal (RFP) and bid process and prepare detailed scope of work documents for construction contractors

  • Work with Construction Management team to identify third party inspection resources. Oversee compliance with company and client policies, requirements, and specifications

  • Manage Prime construction contractor from a scope delivery/commercial standpoint. Understand contracts

  • Work with Engineering and project team to ensure timely and appropriate response to Requests for Information (RFIs).

  • Work with Supply Chain and project team to validate and disposition Chane Order Request Notifications (CORNs). Manage downstream contract administration including Request For Information (RFI), submittals, change management and contract closeout

  • Monitors project under construction in the field through site walk and a role model and advocate for field safety. Actively lead a positive safety culture to ensure incident and injury free project

  • Coordinate commissioning activities with appropriate teams to ensure new facilities are ready for service by required date

  • Coordinate asset integration and project closeout activities.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or technical field

  • At least five (5) years' experience in project management, project engineering, or construction management. Experience managing greenfield and brownfield pipeline and/or facility projects

  • Deep understanding of project management fundamentals and project life cycle

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. This position requires an individual capable of applying broad knowledge of project management principles and practices to wide array of assignments

  • Ability to recognize, evaluate, and communicate risks

  • Familiar with engineering drawings, Bills of Material, and other technical documents

  • Familiar with the various classes of estimates, associated accuracy ranges, and inputs

  • Skilled in Microsoft family products (Excel, Word, Power Point, etc.).

  • Ability to handle large volumes of work and multi-task in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to influence, lead, and manage conflict thoughtfully and positively

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to effectively present information to senior leaders and stakeholder teams. Must have the ability to clearly and effectively present complex information to all levels of employees, management, and clients

  • Ability to work independently and effectively in a large, geographically diverse organization

  • High organizational IQ - understands how company is structured, the roles and responsibilities of various departments, and what teams need to be consulted when executing projects.
