Senior Highway Lead Engineer

STV currently has an opening in ourDouglassville, Philadelphia, Harrisburg,Pittsburgh, PA, or Lawrenceville, Newark, NJoffices for aSenior Highway Task Lead Engineerin our Transportation/Infrastructure Division. You will need experiencein highway geometrics, roadway modeling/cross section, grading, drainage, erosion/sediment control, storm water management, traffic control, signing, pavement marking, utility coordination, and right-of-way plan development.

The successful candidate will have experience in highway design including:
Highway geometrics, roadway modeling and cross section development, grading and drainage, erosion and sediment control, storm water management, traffic control, signing and pavement marking, utility coordination, and right-of-way plan development.

Key responsibilities will include:
Oversee and participate in the design and review of all phases of highway plan development for our various transportation projects.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (MS Degree is a plus)
  • Pennsylvania Professional Engineer (PE) license in PA and/or NJ
  • Minimum of 15 (Fifteen) years of extensive experience with highway engineering
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability and desire to manage Staff/group
  • Ability to Mentor and Coach junior designers and engineers
  • Ability to determine scope of work and prepare man-hour estimates for highway engineering tasks
  • Familiarity with scheduling software
  • Active member of our Client Service Teams supporting proposal development and business development activities
  • Quality control oversight for highway engineering tasks
  • Experience with PennDOT, PA Turnpike, NJDOT, and NJ Turnpike, as well as other transportation agencies
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, OpenRoads, MicroStation, InRoads and Microsoft Office. AutoTAB is a plus
  • Active participation in professional society activities encouraged.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

Compensation Range:

$111,112.00 - $148,149.00
