The Contracts Assistant will perform administrative work in support of the University's commercialization of intellectual property and assist with the internal administration of confidentiality agreements, inter-institutional agreements, intellectual property licensing agreements, and amendments to such agreements throughout the commercialization lifecycle from term sheet until agreement expiration or termination.
Job duties will include, but not be limited to:
Candidate should exhibit knowledge of policies and procedures of both the university and external. The selected candidate must possess strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Powerpoint, as well as Adobe PDF. Additionally, candidate must be able to work independently and manipulate OIE's intellectual property database, KSS TechTracS, and other University systems including Salesforce. Position requires an individual who is highly motivated, very well organized, and exhibits exemplary communication skills.

Assists with the identification, development, and oversight of licensing opportunities for intellectual property. Coordinates agreements for the department and supports agreement draft preparations. Performs administrative licensing work and facilitates initial communications with inventors.
Computer skills; excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Little physical effort is required; job is mostly sedentary. May be required to travel to on campus meetings.
