The Kliment Laboratory within the Division of Pulmonary, Allergy, and Critical Care Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh is seeking a qualified Laboratory Research Technician to further the group's understanding of smoking-induced lung injury and lung fibrosis. This role requires an individual to perform tasks related to animal husbandry and breeding, genotyping, and processing of downstream experimental samples. This role requires close collaboration and communication with lab members and the PI.
Performs laboratory testing and some analysis on multiple types of specimen samples. Operates and properly sterilizes equipment and maintains inventory and assists with ordering.
Breeding and husbandry of mice including genotyping.
Experimental processing to collect animal specimens.
Assists with processing for downstream analysis.
Must be able to stand and/or sit for up to 8 hours.
