Your Role

The Environmental Sustainability Specialist is focused on improving Atlas Copco's environmental and sustainability performance through the implementation and monitoring of environmental and sustainability activities, programs, and goals. This position is considered the subject matter expert in environmental and sustainability. You will report to the Senior SHE Engineer.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • You will develop and manage environmental and sustainability programs directed at achieving Atlas Copco's sustainability goals
  • Develop KPI dashboards and scorecards for environmental and sustainability metrics
  • Collect, compile, organize, and present data that measures the environmental and sustainability performance of the company
  • Identify opportunities to reduce environmental footprint
  • Act on identified opportunities to improve the performance of the environmental and sustainability programs
  • You will collaborate with appropriate departments to develop and perform plans identified in Atlas Copco's Sustainability strategy
  • Prepare and manage internal and external reporting requirements
  • Promote environmental and sustainability practices
  • You will present training related to environmental sustainability up and down our organization
  • Support customer requests for CMRT, EMRT, Prop 65, PFAS and other chemical and product information requests
  • Stay up to date with Atlas Copco's internal prohibited and declarable list
  • You will support across the organization in ensuring supplier compliance with applicable environmental and sustainability regulations and supplier requirements
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by the Senior SHE Engineer


To succeed, you will need

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of environmental and sustainability principles
  • Experience developing programs and policies
  • Knowledge of national and international chemical regulations and reporting requirements
  • Ability to write accurate reports on data collection and analysis
  • Experience with ISO 14001 standards
  • Knowledge of state and federal waste management regulations
  • Creative problem-solving skills

EDUCATION OR QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A bachelor's degree in a related discipline

  • Minimum of 2 or more years of experience.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS (AS APPLICABLE):

  • Ability to move about the manufacturing facility in a safe manner
  • Occasional local, national, and international travel may be required
