About the role
The Waste Process Technician I (WPT I) is an entry level position responsible to safely perform the following fundamental tasks which may include the following based on individual Business Unit: off-loading inbound trucks, verify container count, manifest number and other relevant data needed for processing. of material through shredding operations, direct loading, etc.
Shift is rotating days - 5am to 5p
Responsibilities:
Understand basic facility permit requirements and conduct daily activities to support all safety and compliance requirements.
Operate a variety of equipment including but not limited to hand trucks, forklifts, bailers and others in accordance with company policies and procedures as well as OSHA requirements.
Able to off load inbound packages, liquid trucks, and containers.
Process inbound material using facility and mobile equipment.
General cleaning of facility and grounds.
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
High School Diploma / GED preferred; Reworld offers GED Works - a fully funded program for employees to achieve their GED.
1+ year of experience using forklift
Able to pass respirator fit test
Ability to use a computer
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds
Physical Requirements
Kneeling, crawling, walking, stooping, bending, or twisting for extended periods of timein all elements (indoor/outdoor)
Sitting for extended periods of timeon forklift indoor and outdoor
