Carnegie Mellon University is hiring a Postdoctoral Research Associate to join the chemical engineering department. This is an exciting opportunityfor someone whothrives in an interesting and challenging work environment. You willcontributeto the department by assisting with team-oriented research projects with extensive interaction with faculty, other researchers and graduate students.

Core responsibilities include:

  • Assisting in the development of quantum machine learning, algorithms, reaction mechanism studies, and computational chemistry workflows for ultra-high throughput virtual screenings.

  • Documenting research results for use in project sponsor status reports and publications.

  • Planning, coordinating, and distributing information for meetings, conferences and publications and conduct occasional meeting with project sponsor personnel.

  • other duties as assigned.

You should demonstrate:

  • Excellent analytical skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Qualifications:

  • PhD in chemical engineering required.

  • Interdisciplinary strength in catalysis.

  • A strong research record, documented by recent publications in top-tier conferences and journals.

  • Highly motivated and creative, enjoys working in a collaborative research environment.
