Key responsibilities for this role include:

  • Assist with pricing and discounting activities for select customers within multiple channels, which incorporates an understanding of all customers including hospital systems, managed care, long term care, home healthcare and retail amongst others.

  • Evaluate each customer's ability and willingness to influence sales now and in the future using financial analysis and develop customer-specific contractual offerings that will maximize the long-term profitability including but not limited to: Trend Analysis, ROI Analysis, Contract Performance Analysis, Development of Financial Models, Creation and Tracking of Dashboards.

  • Work with the pricing management team to make recommendations regarding contracting and pricing strategies based on analysis & trends.

  • Work to inform immediate management team of certain contractual rights and obligations and provide financial interpretation of terms and conditions.

  • Implement recommended changes to ensure contracts meet the market environment, life cycle management of our products and legal/government regulations.

  • Attend and participate in frequent meetings with the Institutional leadership team (Weekly Strategy Meeting, Quarterly Business Review "QBR," Etc.)

  • Administer pricing activities in our revenue management system in accordance with the Pricing Charter in a timely, accurate, & compliant manner.

  • Partner with various internal teams (Supply Chain, Customer Relations, Finance, Sales, etc) on product and customer reporting and analysis for your assigned customers.

  • Participate in leadership training & ad hoc analysis as assigned at Leadership's request.

The minimum qualifications for this role are:

  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree (or equivalent) and 0-2 years of Commercial, Business, Marketing, and/or Finance experience. However, a combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration.

  • Must possess strong knowledge of sales, marketing, economics, finance, and accounting preferably in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry, however other experience is also welcome.

  • Successful candidate must possess excellent attention to detail and organizational skills; the ability to read, create, and interpret complex business models in a clear, concise manner; ability to be draw inferences from a multitude of variables in order to solve business requests; be a strong critical thinker; be a strong team player; possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and have the ability to establish and maintain effective business relationships; have the ability to work both independently & with a team, take initiative, prioritize and manage multiple deliverables under tight deadlines; demonstrate the initiative to work with others to advance knowledge and a willingness and ability to take on new tasks and responsibilities; have strong computer application skills especially Microsoft Access, Excel, Word and PowerPoint; must be able to protect confidential and sensitive information.

  • Ability to read and interpret complex business and/or technical documents. Ability to write comprehensive reports and detailed business correspondence. Ability to work with managers or directors and communicate ambiguous concepts. Ability to present to groups across the organization.

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to work with statistical concepts and calculations.

  • Ability to solve problems with a variety of concrete variables through semi-standardized solutions that require some ingenuity and analysis. Ability to draw inferences and follow prescribed and detailed procedures to solve moderately complex problems.

  • Typically sitting at a desk or table. Intermittently sitting, standing, walking or stooping. May be required to stand; walk; stoop; bend; kneel; and climb steps. May require use of hands and use of arms. Sedentary lifting requirements.

  • Normal office situation.

  • Proficiency in speaking, comprehending, reading and writing English is required.

Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. The salary range for this position is $41,000 - $93,000.
