Our Accounts Payable Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments to vendors and suppliers. Your primary duties will include verifying the authenticity of invoices, ensuring proper coding, coordinating payments according to established terms, and managing corporate credit card program. Additionally, you'll reconcile vendor statements, resolve discrepancies, and manage month-end closing activities. You will provide leadership and training guidance to AP Associate employees, leveraging comprehensive knowledge of AP systems and processes. Supervisor experience is required, so if you are a proven supervisor and have 5+ year's experience in the AP industry, we are looking for you! This role will manage and prepare month-end journal entries for accounts payable as well as prepare month-end accounts payable account reconciliations as appropriate. If you have great attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment this is the role for you!

  • In a timely manner review, process and file accounts payable invoices.
  • Process wire transfers and net-outs.
  • Reporting of Form W9 and 1099 information.
  • Research and resolve accounts payable invoice problems.
  • Manage the Credit Card Management process.
  • Work closely with the AP Manager to deepen your understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Receive guidance and mentorship from the manager to enhance your skills in processing complex transactions.
  • Take advantage of opportunities for continuous learning and professional development to grow in your role.

Qualified candidates for this role will have the following:

  • 5+ years of Accounts Payable work experience, with supervisory experience.
  • Post secondary education preferred.
  • Proven experience effectively supervising a team.
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., JDE, Medius) is required.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and work professionally with customers, vendors and employees.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Process-oriented mindset with a passion for continuous improvement.
