Key responsibilities for this role include:

  • Perform routine analyses of samples to support bioequivalence and other pharmacokinetic studies; show proficiency in sample preparations and bulk reagent and solution preparations including with automated liquid handling systems.

  • Complete General Chemist Laboratory training.

  • Demonstrate ability to read and follow analytical test procedures and properly document activity in accordance with lab procedure.

  • Demonstrate ability to extract samples.

  • Complete training as a Data processor on LC/MS systems; process and analyze data according to established procedures.

  • Review data and associated documentation for compliance with Standard Operating Procedures.

  • Operate analytical instrumentation including triple quadrupole HPLC-MS/MS systems and automated liquid handling workstations, assist with instrument maintenance and qualification.

  • Perform experiments in support of method development and validation with supervision, as well as prepare laboratory reagents following written procedures.

  • Prepare written responses to audit observations.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Key responsibilities for this role include:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) and 0-2 years of experience. A Bachelor's degree in a science related field is preferred. However, a combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration.

  • Must possess knowledge of Standard Operating Procedures, Guidelines, a basic understanding of chemistry, and OSHA regulations and procedures for the safe handling of chemicals.

  • Must possess good communication and writing skills. Must possess the ability to multi-task and be accurate and precise. Must possess computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, and instrumentation software.

  • Ability to read and interpret complex business and/or technical documents. Ability to write comprehensive reports and detailed business correspondence. Ability to work with groups of people such as other departments and communicate known concepts. Ability to present to a group of departments.

  • Ability to perform computations such as percentages, ratios, and rates.

  • Ability to solve problems with a variety of concrete variables through semi-standardized solutions that require some ingenuity and analysis. Ability to draw inferences and follow prescribed and detailed procedures to solve moderately complex problems.

  • Typically sitting at a desk or table. Intermittently sitting, standing, walking, or stooping. May be required to stand; walk; stoop; bend; kneel; and climb steps. May require use of hands and use of arms. Light lifting requirements.

  • Proficiency in speaking, comprehending, reading and writing English is required.
